Day 1
Island Tour – Santiago

Explore the highlights of Santiago on this full-day excursion. Enjoy a typical breakfast with a
local family, visit the Assomada Market, and follow the Serra Malagueta. Then, we continue
to Cidade Velha, the first city built by Europeans in the tropics and the first capital of the
Cape Verde archipelago. It was originally called Ribeira Grande, changing its name to avoid
any ambiguity with the village of the same name. Lunch at a local restaurant, return to the
hotel in the afternoon.

Day 2
Visit to the Rabelados Community
Unique cultural heritage of the Rebelados on the island of Santiago. This guided tour takes you to a remote village where the Rebelados, a religious and cultural group, maintain their traditional way of life, resisting modern influences. Visit the village to learn more about their history, beliefs, and practices, while observing their artisanal crafts and simple, self-sufficient way of life. The experience offers an intimate look at one of Cape
Verde most distinct and enduring communities, preserving their cultural identity amidst changing times. Lunch at a local restaurant.

Day 3
Aguas Belas Tour
From your  hotel, we will go to Ribeira de Barca where we will begin our excursion, full of authenticity and morabeza. The fishermen will be waiting to help us make the most of it. We begin in Praia and pass through magnificent landscapes and villages. Upon arrival, visitors will take guided hikes, observe the flora and fauna, and visit springs. They will interact with the local community and taste typical dishes. Free time allows for relaxation and photo opportunities. The return to Praia concludes the day. Lunch on the beach – grilled
fish and vegetables, accompanied by locals.

Day 4
Trek Pico de Antonia – Santiago’s highest peak
Marvel at the beautiful landscape of Santiago on this guided hike. Experience local life in the village of Longueira and visit a rum distillery. Climb Pico de Antonia, the highest point on the island, and then explore the untouched nature of Mount Tchota.

Day 5
Departure to the airport – wishing you an excellent return flight

Clothes

- A scarf to protect the neck
- 1 or 2 thermal underwear (short or long sleeve T-shirts – )
-Cap or hat for the sun
- 1 light fleece or equivalent (warm for the southern winter months - T-shirts)
(short and long sleeves), preferably in technical material with quick drying
- A breathable waterproof windproof jacket with a Gore
- 1 long shorts or Bermuda shorts
-A pair of sunglasses (high protection factor)
- Sun protection cream (face and lips)
- A multi-purpose pocket knife
- A pair of telescopic hiking poles (recommended
- 1 comfortable walking pants
- 1 pair of waterproof, comfortable “trekking” shoes with a rising upper and grippy sole (Vibram
type). They must hold onto the ground well. The trails in Cape Verde can be both muddy and rocky
- 1 pair of sneakers or equivalent light shoes for the evening
- Pairs of walking socks
- Swimsuit

Farmacy
Your guide has a first aid pharmacy. However, it is recommended to bring your personal pharmacy:
elastoplast, iodized alcohol, aspirin, intestinal antiseptic, small scissors, tricosteril, sun protection
cream, personal medication ...
